Ruby Communications Scholarship for Women in Technology

PORTLAND, Or. – Coming March 1, 2010 - Ruby Communications, LLC will be announcing their annual scholarship program for woman in technology.

The Women in Telecommunication and Information Technology Scholarship program was established to support and encourage young women who wish to seek a career in the information technology field. RUBY intends to award five (5) scholarships of $1,000 each to students who are either accepted to or enrolled in an accredited four year college or university and planning a career in information technology. Scholarships are
available in Portland, OR where RUBY is headquartered.

"We are excited about this new scholarship program for women in the community," said President and CEO, Tanya Seda. "The program is a natural extension of RUBY's story. I wish when I was attending college and graduate school that a program similar to this had been available as I prepared for a career. My hope is to make this new program grow in the future to give many other women the opportunity to jump start their careers."
